Who we are
We are an independent family run business established in the Spring of 1986.
Three generations of our family now help to make our ever changing business grow, as well as our long term employee Craig, who is our delivery driver and is an invaluable member of the team.
We started way back then, selling a few pots, some plants, bags of compost and if you were lucky some tools.
Now we run a successful business that has a steadily increasing local trade with customers and suppliers.
We buy as much as we possibly can from Cornwall but we do have to go out of the county now and then! Our bedding supplier is from St.Austell, shrubs are from around Cornwall and we even grow our own.
Being an independent family business is important to us and we pride ourselves on our great customer service.
We offer quality products at competitve prices and are happy to offer friendly and knowledgeable advice.
We offer a local delivery service 3 days a week which is free if you spend over £30 ( a charge is made if you spend under £30).
We are members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the HTA (Horticultural Trades Association).
Where we are
We are located on the outskirts of Falmouth, 1/2 a mile from Swanpool beach. For further details go to the map on our contact page.
Our Environmental Policy
Here at Falmouth Garden Centre we take our environmental responsibilities seriously and recycle as much as we can.
We are now a public drop off point for the 'Crisp Packet Recycling Scheme' (sponsored by Walkers and processed by TerraCycle UK), the first in Falmouth, and are extremely pleased to be able to offer this very valuable way of recycling any brand/make of crisp packet.
If you would like to display a poster at your place of work then below is a link for printing it out.
Due to you, our customers, we have raised over £150 in just 12 months for the Cornwall Air Ambulance, that's over 1500 crisp packets! Well done every one, keep popping them in!
We understand the concerns around the use of peat in gardening products and offer peat free alternatives where possible.
We stock animal friendly products and follow all guidelines regarding pesticides and insecticides and again offer environmentally friendly alternatives for all pest control.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a non government organization, was created to monitor environmental concerns about wood production, deforestation and to help manage forests and woodlands in a sustainable manner.
Our fencing, trellis and logs are all FSC certified along with many of our bird houses, tables and tools. All FSC compliant stock is marked with the FSC logo.
